GEORGE'S WARD, we, the undersigned Burgesses of the said Ward, do hereby request that you will allow yourself to be nominated as his successor, feeling convinced that you will be guided by an honest judgement, an independent spirit, and determined zeal for strict economy. We therefore upon due Examination and Enquiry made into the Premises aforesaid, doo find and adjudge the same to be true, and we do also adjudge that the last place of the legal settlement of them and said John Ferncombe and Sarah his wife with John, Ann, and Joseph, sons and daughter of the said John and Sarah Ferncombe was and is in the parish of Over Stolwey aforesaid. These are therefore in his Majesty's name, to Order and Require you the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the parish of Ilton aforesaid, that yyou, some, or one of you, do forthwith Remove and Convey them the said John Ferncombe and Sarah Ferncombe, sons, and daughter of the said John and Sarah Ferncombe from your said Parish of Ilton to the Parish of Over Stowey aforesaid, and them deliver to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor, or some, or one of them there, together with this our Order, or a true Copy thereof.
