She married John after 1883, since that is the year my grandmother--Ella Augusta Barton was born (October 8, 1883) and her father was Anthony Barton. Even if Anthony died BEFORE Ella was born, he still would've fathered her in 1883 and Maria probably didn't remarry until after Ella was born.
